Are you making yourself sick by not getting enough of sleep? Video of the week
Are you sleeping enough and why does it even matter?
Do you love sleep and make sure you get plenty or are you tolerating the need for sleep, getting by on 5 hours per night.
Research and our daily experience everyday shows us that sleep affects our biology and psychology, our bodies and our minds, our immunity, our mental memory, our ability to repair and function, our mood, our relationships and so SO much more. It is so vital we would quite literally die without it.
So why do we treat it like such a non negotiable? You’re busy, I know. But too busy for sleep? If so – you need to know you’re missing out on more than.. sleep.. when you miss out on sleep!
This engaging talk by Russell Foster, a circadian neuroscientist, helps us to understand what impacts sleep deprivation has on our lives, how much sleep we need and other popular theories about sleep.
- Are you getting enough sleep?
- Could being too tired be at the root of other problems you’re having in your life?
- What can you do to get more better quality sleep tonight?
Too busy to watch? [Productivity tip]
You don’t have to ‘watch’ this you could pop your earphones into your phone and go for a walk while you listen to this or listen to it while you are driving somewhere, doing some house work or having shower / getting ready. 🙂
