Carpe Diem Wellbeing. Why we exist - because of you
Your body doesn’t feel as good as you want it to. It would be great to lose a few kilos, get stronger, fitter and to feel good in your clothes. You want to feel lighter and more energetic.
But you can’t seem to get motivated and stick to a consistent exercise routine. Things always seem to get in the way, work commitments, your social life, the snooze button and the voices in your head.
You’re confused and uninspired about food. Why does it seems so freekin hard to work out what to eat. You’re not sure whether to count calories or carbs or eat more meat or less meat. There’s conflicting information everywhere you look and it’s tiring trying to work it all out. You know you’re leaning on sugar at 3pm and after dinner and you know you shouldn’t be, but you can’t help it.
You’ve tried diets and eating regimes and you do try to read about food and find new recipes, but it’s just too confusing. You haven’t found something that works for you and your life. You just want to understand the basics, eat healthy and not have to think so much about it.
You feel like you’re over thinking everything and your mind seems clouded by self doubt and negativity. You’re not nice to yourself. Your levels of self belief and self esteem are lower than you’d like. You would never talk to a friend the way to talk to yourself. You know this isn’t good and you’re not helping yourself. You know that you should change but you’re not sure how.
You’ve read about affirmations but they just don’t feel authentic. You’ve tried a counselor and that helped for a while. You’re not sure how to clear your mind and make it more positive and productive. You’re not sure how to believe in yourself and love yourself more.
And to make matters more difficult, you’re overwhelmed and over committed. You don’t know how to find the time to do everything you need to do, let alone the things you want to do. You try to say no and find time for you, but life just seems to get so busy. You always find yourself using the excuse ‘I have no time’. You’re tired and life feels unbalanced but the treadmill of life is on high and it’s hard to slow it down.
You just want to feel happy, confident and healthy. You want to feel content, calm and in control. You don’t need perfection, you just want a routine and a flow in your life that leaves you feeling… good. Is that too much to ask?
