Filling in the wellbeing blanks with Angela Counsel Natropath and Author of Secret Mum's Business

The art of doing this without sacrificing our most important assets, our bodies and our health, is the challenge we are all faced with day to day. Today we are filling in the blanks with Angela Counsel author of the new book ‘Secret Mum’s Business‘. Secret Mums Business busts the myth of work life balance and shows women how they can have it all. Angela is an experienced Natropath and Lifestyle coach who works with Mums in business to re-connect them to their business,their life and themselves. Let’s hear what Angela has to say:

I have lots of jobs. I am a Lifestyle Coach working with Mums in Business, I am also the Author of the book Secret Mums Business, plus I speak regularly on the topic of work life balance. My most important job is a Mum of 2.
Eating well and positive mindset are usually easy for me when it comes to managing my wellbeing.
Not being busy and overwhelmed are usually hard for me when it comes to managing my wellbeing.
Being tired and rundown always seems to throw my wellbeing off track.
Focusing on myself, eating well and an early night brings my wellbeing back on track
I usually sleep 5-6 hours per night. I’d love to sleep 8 hours per night.
Something I’ve found that really helps when it comes to my health, fitness and wellbeing is listening to what my body needs and taking some time out for myself everyday.
Something I’ve learnt over the years when it comes to health, fitness and wellbeing is regardless of how well I need, and how healthy my lifestyle choices are, my mindset is the key to living a healthy and happy life.
The advice I would give to someone half my age when it comes to looking after their body is don’t worry about which diet is the best for you, the best food is real food. Your body needs nutrients and natures food to be vital and energetic. If you want to feel different to everyone else then you need to eat differently to everyone else. To look and feel good you need to eat real food and avoid any food that has been manufactured or modified by humans.
The problem with being too obsessive and trying to be a perfectionist when it comes to your health and wellbeing is hard work and difficult to maintain. by focusing on how you want to feel and the type of life you want to live, you will make the right choices that your body will require. I often say to clients to ask themselves – ‘is this the most loving thing I can do for my body right now?’ When you focus on loving yourself then you will always make the right decisions.
If my body stopped working my ability to do my work would be gone, actually I couldn’t imagine my body not working. Sometimes I have some pain and discomfort but this is due to high levels of stress or some unprocessed emotions and beliefs. This means I need to do some belief clearing work.
If my body could talk right now the loudest thing that it would say / ask for is more sleep and more exercise.
