Let’s hear what Jess has to say:

To Jess to be well means: to have the energy, self confidence and mindset to enjoy every single day, pursue your goals and give to others – especially those around you that you cherish the most.

I have learnt that achieving wellness, balance and good health takes constant work. In today’s modern world filled with stress, long working hours, easy energy (hello coffee!) and our own high expectations, you must make health a priority. This means scheduling time in to do those things that you know make a difference and help you manage stress.

I have a simple winning morning formula that ensures I have a good day! 20 minutes of exercise, a green smoothie and listing my top 3 priorities for the day are usually easy for me when it comes to managing my wellbeing.

Slowing down is usually hard for me when it comes to managing my wellbeing.

My own expectations and an extremely busy schedule can easily throw my wellbeing off track.

Give me a 20-minute run and I’m completely relaxed and ready for whatever the world throws at me! It instantly brings my wellbeing back on track

I usually sleep 8 hours per night. My fiancé and I wake up at 5.30am, so we are pretty ready for bed by the time it gets to around 9pm!

Something I’ve found that really helps when it comes to my health, fitness and wellbeing is getting the key things that make a difference done first thing in the morning! If I leave exercise or my green smoothie to later in the day, my schedule is so unpredictable it’s so easy for it to not happen. This is why we get up so early! You need to make time for your health.

Something I’ve learnt over the years when it comes to health, fitness and wellbeing is that it is the things that can completely change your life for better or worse! If you ever experience a health scare or illness – you will completely change your perspective on just how important your health, fitness and wellbeing truly is.

The advice I would give to someone half my age when it comes to looking after their body is don’t wait to tomorrow! Start young and create positive habits that will set you up for life and ensure that nothing holds you back form achieving your dreams. It’s really easy to fall into the trap of socially driven, negative behaviors – have the confidence to stand out and go on your own journey.

The problem with being too obsessive and trying to be a perfectionist when it comes to your health and wellbeing is it just sets you up for failure and feelings of guilt. Plus, it will never make you happy and will stop you from enjoying the things you love.

If my body stopped working my ability to do my work would be impossible!

If my body could talk right now the loudest thing that it would say / ask for is love! Everything starts there… 🙂
