More words from women who have completed the bodylove program

Rita, an editor in her late 20s living in Melbourne.  Here’s what she has to say:

To say that I endorse this program would be an understatement. Before I started the program, I was feeling really unmotivated, overwhelmed with all the conflicting information that is out there and battered physically and working with Jacquie has been the antidote to all of that. I have learnt so much about nutrition, exercise, movement and mindset and each week I walk away from the sessions feeling invigorated and more committed to looking after myself. Everything I had tried previously involved me having to subscribe to a set of strict rules and me having to sacrifice the happiness that comes from enjoying a meal or a drink with friends for the happiness that comes with looking good and being fit. But I now realise that enjoying life and being healthy and looking good aren’t mutually exclusive.  I can’t advocate the program highly enough.” – Rita

Rachel, a legal secretary in her 30s living in Melbourne.  Here’s what she has to say:

To say the bodylove program has changed my life is an understatement!  I have learnt so much about nutrition and fitness, mindset and work/life balance, all of which can easily be incorporated into my daily life.  One of the most valuable components of the course involved taking a step back and identifying what we actually put into our bodies and being shown the processes much of our food goes through before it makes its way to our table. I am now much more equipped to make informative decisions about what foods I choose to eat and how they affect my body.  The bodylove program takes nutrition and fitness back to basics and educates us on the simple changes we can make to our daily routine to help us live a happy and healthy life.”  – Rachel

Brie, a Strategy Manager in her 30s living in Melbourne.  Here’s what she has to say:

“I undertook the bodylove program in September 2012 after attending one of the introductory workshops. I consider myself to be relatively healthy and fit with a reasonable grip on what it takes to lead a healthy and balanced lifestyle and going into the workshop I was initially skeptical that it would be able to deliver any “new” insights that would make a real difference to my already over committed life. During the initial workshop I gained insight to Jacquie’s methodology and approach which is both is well researched and relevant and most importantly, different to anything I had seen before. Committing to the course was one of the best things I have done and has both changed and enhanced my internal and external perspective on life. Jacquie has a perfect blend of motivation and brutal honesty which cuts through the ‘noise’ and presents you with clear and basic choices to help create a balanced life. With a professional background as an engineer combined with extensive experience in the health and fitness industry, Jacquie is in a unique position to both understand the pressures of the professional environment and help develop strategies to manage the conflicting pressures. I can’t recommend Jacquie and her course highly enough – take the time and make the commitment – it is something that you won’t regret” – Brie.

Racheal, a Nurse in her 30s living in Melbourne.  Here’s what she has to say:

“I did the bodylove program in 2012. The wealth of information provided, along with the support from Jacquie, empowered me to take control of my health and fitness. I felt challenged, completely accountable and I really enjoyed the journey. Jacquie’s “tweak” approach made things achievable and sustainable. Now I am fit, have lost weight, and feel healthier than ever. But most of all, I know that my new approach to wellbeing is here to stay. I can’t thank Jacquie enough for dedicating her time and passion into making the lyblyl program available to women like me. As Jacquie says – “what are you waiting for”…so get on board!” – Racheal.

Steph, a business owner in her early 50s living in Melbourne.  Here’s what she has to say:

“Things have changed since I completed the bodylove program.  I signed up so as I could create some forced balance into my hectic and stressful work life. I had little energy and coupled with some chronic ailments accepted this was life at 50. I hadn’t exercised for a number of years, so my early goals were moderate, just to be able to walk around the Tan. I am now doing jogging intervals and circuit training. The program is packed with information sessions on nutrition, fitness, movement and mindset. The training sessions are supportive and stretching but mindful of everyone’s capabilities.  Jacquie’s commitment to each person with 1 on 1 coaching sessions, text messages and online pages means you are set up to succeed. It’s true that education gives you power. The knowledge and time to integrate it in the 3 month program feels like my new beliefs around nutrition and fitness are solid. I know now that I don’t have to feel energetic to exercise, but will when I do. I don’t choose quick fix energy foods, but enjoy foods that are making me strong and healthy, physically and emotionally for the long term. Making good choices about how I treat my body has become easy and natural. I now feel I have control over my health, fitness and energy and it feels great!– Steph.

Kim, a business owner in her early 30s living in Melbourne.  Here’s what she has to say:

“I have proof – it works! Not only do I feel the best I ever have, I just received a set of blood tests back after having completed the body love program. The result, I am in the best health ever, my vitamin levels are up, my omega levels are up and my doctor said, just keep doing what you are doing because it’s working. I have battled with Chronic Fatigue for over 10 years and now I can say I am in 100% great health. I haven’t changed a lot, I simply implemented little things, bit by bit that I learnt from the program around food, mindset, movement and balance. I still refer back to my folder when I am ready for something new or need a refresher. Next on my list is to get those fitness levels up and that’s exciting! From the bottom of my heart, thank you Jacquie”

Tess, a project officer in her late 20s living in Melbourne.  Here’s what she has to say:

“My past approach to exercise, food, health and general wellbeing has been inconsistent and I used to find it hard to stay on track to achieving my health and fitness goals. I struggled mentally, emotionally and physically but things are now changing for the better. I’ve found Jacquie to have a wealth of health and fitness knowledge. She is an expert in running, weight training, weight loss, nutrition and overall wellbeing and I can proudly say that I am now far better educated in these areas. Her energy, warmth and positive personality makes the coaching fun and she challenges me every single time.  Thank you for becoming my life coach!” – Tess.

Tori, a project officer in her late 20s living in Melbourne.  Here’s what she has to say:

“I really enjoy exercise, and always have. Prior to meeting Jacquie, I had been a dedicated boot camp fanatic and was relatively fit and strong. From a fitness perspective, I felt good.  But I had never been able to shift the weight I wanted to. I looked into diets. I tried calorie counting, and it worked for a while, but just was never going to be a sustainable weight management technique for me. Who really wants to be doing maths all day?!  I was at a loss as to what I was doing wrong and where I could find help.  Through the coaching I’ve developed such a great appreciation for food. I understand why my body needs food, what type of food I need and how to fuel my body to not only lose weight, but be healthy on the inside. The program breaks information down into manageable chunks and turns overwhelming amounts of conflicting information into sense.   The program helps to draw out the mental and emotional aspects of health and fitness too. As the program progressed, it helped me identify how I feel about my body, why I feel a certain way and develop ways of improving the way I feel about myself. At the end of the program, I feel that I have collected all the tools I need to be able to achieve everything I need to live a fit, healthy lifestyle and love my body. I know where exercise fits, how to eat well, and have a rejuvenated sense of self and what I want out of life. The format of the program allows you to learn new things, apply the learning and continue to consolidate and build on the information as the program progresses.  I would highly recommend the program to anyone who is keen to achieve a health or fitness goal, or just understand their body better and improve their lifestyle.  This program has changed my life for the better & I’m not going back!” – Tori
