TEAM: “SUPERWOMEN” – SISTERS
NAMES: MEL & JO
PROGRAMS: 2on1 TRAINING & CIRCUITS

WHAT JO THINKS OF US:
“I could say lots of great things about my experience with you guys: I have found you to be committed (always on time and always prepared) & interested (you have listened to us, heard what we have said & then tailored our goals & programs to achieve not only what we thought we wanted to achieve but more than we thought we could!). You are enthusiastic (the sessions are varied & your encouragement helps us push ourselves), knowledgeable (I have loved learning more about running, nutrition & energy systems!) & fun! – all of which means that I get loads out of our sessions & the motivation lasts into the week so that I find real changes can be made & goals achieved. My experience with you guys certainly helps me seize the day!”

WHAT WE THINK OF THEM:
We’ve trained Mel & Jo since February ‘09 & they have improved out of sight.  Their support for each other during the sessions is fantastic.  We can’t wait to achieve even more fitness goals with these 2 super-mums, super-friends & super-women in the future.

TEAM: “YUMMY MUMMY”
NAME: JANE
PROGRAM: CIRCUITS

WHAT SHE THINKS OF US:
“I have found CIP an invigorating work out that has really tested out what
my body could do & have dispelled what i thought it couldn’t do in a fun way with supportive coaches! The classes seem to go so fast, are really challenging & still leave you feeling it the next day. As a very time poor mum who loses interest in activities quickly CIP has been a perfect fit & has now become imperative to my health and wellbeing.  The weekly updates are also great to keep me motivated & engaged & I am now beginning to see the results, another reason to keep on training!”

WHAT WE THINK OF HER:
Jane is working hard to get back her core strength & fitness after having a beautiful baby boy.  She’s so consistent & works within her limits to build back her super pre-baby bod & it’s working!  Go Yummy Mummy!

TEAM:  “110% EFFORT”
NAME: KATIE
PROGRAMS: 1on1 TRAINING & CIRCUITS

WHAT SHE THINKS OF US:
“I can’t speak highly enough of Jacquie & Lauren – they are amazing. Knowledgeable, approachable & enthusiastic I look forward to every session whether it is one on one or Circuits in the Park. They always bring a smile & a real sense of fun – but don’t be fooled! They will still push you to your limits always encouraging you to go that bit further – but you walk away feeling like you really “worked out” & the time flew by. Best of all you see actual results. I’d always wanted to learn how to run – I could never understand why I could work out at the gym for an hour ok but run 500m & want to pass out. Jacquie & Lozz took it back to basics, teaching me running technique from head to toe. Marathon stage is a while off yet…..but after 8 weekly sessions I took 46 seconds off the 1km time trial & didn’t feel like I wanted to die at the end of it either. Thank you!”

TEAM: “POCKET ROCKETS” – MUM & DAUGHTER
NAMES: ROBYN & MADELINE
PROGRAM: CIRCUITS

WHAT ROBIN THINKS OF US:
“I just love the circuits in the park. The place that Jacquie and Lauren have chosen feels like you are exercising on ‘top of Melbourne’. The exercises are really varied & the range of activities means you can work at your own pace & challenge yourself whatever your age. You don’t feel intimidated like you might in a gym environment. The added bonus for me is that I get to exercise with my daughters.”

WHAT MADDY THINKS OF US:
“The most exciting aspect of circuits in the park is the variety. So often, exercise can become monotonous & boring that it puts you off from doing it at all. The variety, change in pace & challenge of the program makes it something that you actually look forward to doing. Exercising outside & the great atmosphere Jacquie & Lauren provide are great bonuses too.”

TEAM: “REACH FOR THE STARS”
NAME: JAMIE
PROGRAM:  RUNNING PROGRAM AND PERSONALISED FITNESS PROGRAM

WHAT JAMIE THINKS OF US:
“Two months ago I didn’t have the stamina or mental strength to run for more than three minutes.  But, despite my lack of fitness and poor track record when it came to committing to improving my health through any physical endeavours, I set the ridiculous goal of running a half-marathon.  I told Jacquie my outrageous plan and she encouraged this crazy notion! Not only was she supportive, but she set about making it happen.  On her advice, I joined the five-week program with a view to learning the correct running technique and improving my fitness level so I could participate in the Run for the Kids. The plan was to run the 5.2 kilometre course – step one in my journey toward the half-marathon.  Before starting the program I was excited to be taking action, but also very daunted – not only by the early starts, but also by the fact I would be pushed to my limits.  Looking back, there was no need to be afraid! Yes, it was challenging and my body was forced to do things it had never done before, but the pain felt good because it meant I was working hard!  I was always at the back of the pack, but it never mattered, because I wasn’t racing against other people, I really was working toward improving my efforts each week.  The group environment was exactly what I needed. Jacquie, Sophie and all of women in these sessions were encouraging and inspiring – we were all there slogging it out together!  I’ll never forget finishing the 1 kilometre time trial in week five and being told that I’d knocked almost a minute of my time. From the outset I’d decided I wanted to shave about 30 seconds off, and even then I thought I may have been setting an unrealistic target! It was a really proud moment for me – I felt a great sense of achievement.  On the morning of Run 4 the Kids I was quietly confident and knew I could complete that distance even though I’d never done it before. I knew because I’d put in the hard work in the lead up to event, and also because at that time trial I’d proven I have the mental strength and determination to keep pushing even when my body starts to hurt.
Crossing that finish line having run every step of the way was an amazing feeling! There were times during the event that a little voice in my head told me to stop because it was too hard – but that was never really an option. For most of the run I felt comfortable in my body and my abilities, and that shows just how far I’ve come in a short period of time.
My plan is now to run the 8 kilometre Mother’s Day Classic in May and beyond that, keep building my fitness and confidence so I can fulfil my ambition of running a half-marathon by the year’s end.  When I initially set the goal to run 21 kilometres was already feeling as though I was setting myself up for failure … that doubt is well-and-truly gone. Instead I’m driven by the thought of crossing that finish line.
I know I can do it, in fact I know I will do it!  I can’t thank Jacquie, Sophie and Loz enough for their instruction, encouragement and support. Because of them my outlook on fitness and what I can achieve has changed dramatically – for the better.
I’m now looking forward to treating myself and buying some new runners and trendy workout gear.”

WHAT WE THINK OF HER:
Jamie turns up to every session that she can and works hard every minute – from the warm up to the stretching at the end.  Always listening to her body and then asking us for feedback she is continually learning the new places that she can push her body to.  Her determination and willpower is second to none and once we heard her requesting to run further in a rep at running – we knew she had the running bug!  Jamie – we can’t wait to see you reach your goals you will do anything that you set your mind to.

TEAM: “SUPERSTAR”
NAME: EMILY
PROGRAM: CIRCUITS IN THE PARK

WHAT SHE THINKS OF US:
“I have really enjoyed ‘Circuits in the Park’, I actually want to get out of bed on a Saturday morning! I work in front of a computer all week so it’s a nice change doing push ups in the dirt. My fitness level has increased, & I can actually feel stomach muscles. Jacquie & Lauren make it fun, & adapt the workout to each individual person. I’ve really enjoyed the all-female group atmosphere of Circuits & would highly recommend it to any woman with any fitness goal.”

WHAT WE THINK OF HER:
Emily was one of the quieter ones in the group until we unleashed the boxing gloves on her & we saw she wasn’t the shy type at all!  Emily is always first to arrive with a smile & great attitude.  Awesome work Emily!

TEAM: “DYNAMIC DUO” – SISTERS (not twins but they look like they are!)
NAMES: BIANCA & ANTOINETTE
PROGRAM: CIRCUITS IN THE PARK

HERE’S AN EMAIL WE GOT FROM BIANCA AFTER A SESSION:
“What a fantastic class on Saturday!  Toni & I had so much fun although we are so sore – but it’s a good sore!!  The last circuit was great too!  I like the variety – who knew working out could be this fun!!  Looking forward to Saturday, see you then :)”

HERE’S WHAT TONI THINKS OF US:
“ My sister & I are loving Circuits in the Park with Jacquie & Lauren.  Waking up on Saturday mornings has never been more fun 🙂 Exercising outdoors in the Botanical Gardens is very motivating.  The circuits are a lot of fun especially the Boxing Circuit.  I realised my little sister has a mean punch..  hehe Jacquie & Lauren work you to your capacity which is great.  I love the challenge.  Looking forward to Spring & Summer sessions  :)”
WHAT WE THINK OF THEM:
They may be small but they belt out their boxing & push ups in a way that would put Mike Tyson to shame!  The Twins are always smiling & laughing but working very hard behind the scenes!  Good work ladies.

TEAM: “PUSH US HARDER!” – MUM & DAUGHTER
NAMES: KATHY & MARIANNA
PROGRAM: CIRCUITS IN THE PARK

WHAT THEY THINK OF US:
“Thank you for guidance during the sessions, for knowing how hard to push without making it impossible & for understanding that women need that extra bit of attention to help stay on track. Working full time tied to a desk & having a family to manage as well has it’s challenges. I was concerned it might be too hard for me being an adult who has very little time for exercise (hence very unfit) & my daughter Marianna (who is very fit) was bit worried about going to classes with older women. It is amazing how you can cater to all our needs & bring out the best in all of us. We can’t wait for the next 4 weeks to start. Thank you!”

WHAT WE THINK OF THEM:
For a couple of chicks who say they were worried they sure don’t act like it!  After a few weeks of sessions Kathy was already asking to be worked even harder!  Marianna & Kathy are always ready to attack the next exercise and challenge.  They work hard every session and are a pleasure to train.
